Credit by Exam

Credits earned through certain exams in the following test programs can be used to fulfill 天美传媒 undergraduate degree requirements:

  • Advanced Placement Examinations (AP)
  • 天美传媒 Examinations
  • College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • New York University Language Exam (NYU)
  • Thomas Edison Credit-by-Examination Program (TECEP)
  • Prometric-DSST Program

A specific listing of tests accepted by 天美传媒 with their corresponding credit values is included in this section. Please note that credits awarded are subject to change. Before registering for an exam, review the specific testing organization's website to ensure no updates have been made.

Advanced Placement Examinations (AP)

Undergraduate degree candidates who took AP tests while in high school may receive credit by requesting that the College Board send an official transcript to 天美传媒.

天美传媒 Examination

Proficiency examinations have been developed by 天美传媒 to enable individuals to validate knowledge in medical terminology and child studies. The tests are proctored online and multiple choice in format. Only 天美传媒 students can take the proficiency examination in medical terminology.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)

CLEP is a testing program of the College Board offering two types of examinations: the general examinations and the subject examinations. 

New York University Language Exams

New York University School of Continuing Studies offers many foreign language exams. 天美传媒 will award 12 lower level undergraduate credits for the NYU 12-point examination and 12 lower and 4 upper for the 16-point examination.

Thomas Edison Credit-by-Examination Program (TECEP)

天美传媒 undergraduate matriculated students may take Thomas Edison State University Exams for credit toward their degree. The exams are developed by faculty recruited by Thomas Edison State University Office of Test Development. Examinations are usually 2-3 hours in length and can be any combination of objective, essay or short answer formats. Individual content outlines are available via , or through the 天美传媒 Testing Office.

Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Educational Support (DSST)

DSST tests are college-level achievement tests. Many of these exams can be used to meet 天美传媒 degree requirements in the liberal arts and in non-liberal arts subjects. DSST examinations are administered nationwide by Prometrics and nationwide by other colleges and universities.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is an internationally recognized curriculum that offers 11th and 12th grade students an opportunity to earn the IB diploma. 天美传媒 will award lower-level college credit to students who earn grades of 6 or higher for Higher Level (HL) International Baccalaureate Exams. No credit is granted for Standard Level (SL) Exams. Students must submit an official IB Transcript of grades from International Baccalaureate.
